Hi Jerome,
When a customer enters their name in the widget I get notification of who the customer is in the operator panel. We are only using the widget on our registered pages so a customer has to log on to our site to use the live chat widget. I would like to set the name and email address automatically using PHP; which part of your code do I need to assign the PHP variable?
Hi,
that is no problem at all. Just set the vars in the widget code itself.

When having all the mandatory fields pre set the chat will start automatically on open.
Hi Jerome,
Many thanks, that worked.
Hi Jerome,
One thing I have noticed and I am not sure if this is by design or not. If you set the w.lang = '' to w.lang = 'de' then the widget does display in German. However if a user whose language is set to English in the operator panel answers a support request the default gb messages are shown so for instance mine is set to 'How can we assist you' and if I end a conversation the 'has ended teh conversation' message is shown. If a user who is set to German in the operator panel the German default messages are shown.
Would it not be better for the German preset responses to be shown to the client requetsing live chat if the w.lang = '' is set to w.lang = 'de' regardless of the what the operators user language is set to.
Hope you follow.
Does the german welcome message exist in the database?
We will check it on our side and decide what makes most sense.
Thank you
Hi Jerome,
Yes the German messages are set up in the lc_answers table. The msgtype for the Enters Chat is set to 2 for both the German and English. I can work with what you have as we will make sure that only a German user set up as a user answers German support requests and that way the correct responses are shown but I do feel that it would be better to show the German responses if we have set the w.land='de' and ignore what the operator user language is set to.
Kind regards.
Did you address this in version 3.3.1? Just tested it and nothing has changed.
No, that is a bug fix release only. The language change needs a lot more code change and we want to make it optional.
Thank you
