Hi Jerome,

So far my website look just perfect in every screens size, except for the slider, it still does't adapt to smaller screens...what should I do?

Note: Yes I checked the "Responsive" option in Slider config.

Thank you

Jacques

    Thank you for opening a ticket.

    Hard to tell without seeing it. Depends on your other settings for the slider, specially with and height.

    You have edited the margin top for the id #sb-site in the customstyle.php file? You will need to add a responsive class if you do so.

    I also think the background image is too big and therefore it does not know how to resize the correct way. For example I have changed the width and height to the background size and it works a little bit better. When I changed it to 1050 x 315 pixels it goes better, however the rest does not match than.

    Please give it another go with fixed pixels.

    You should also update to the latest version 2.3

    Thank you for the info

    Ok I resized and rematch evreything and now the slide look fine in smaller size screen!

    The only thing is that there is always too much gap between the top nav and the slider or "Above page content"..so that' is why I changed #sb-site margin-top: from 115px; to 70 px so now slider and above content are tigh to the top navbar.

    I also noticed the same gap issue when adding below page content. If there is a better way to acheive that please tell me :)

    Ok I updated to 2.3 but now all icons (back office and front and) are gone!

    Could it be because I might have first installed CMS using url "http://jc-web-dev.ca/" instead of http//:www.jc-web-dev.ca/...I can't remeber wich one I used but I have a doubt...

    Thank you for everything

    Thank you

    Good Morning,

    did you update via Auto Updater? On some servers the fonts are not replaced correctly, please download the latest package from our download area and replace the fonts folder via FTP.

    On your slide you are using:

    white-space:nowrap;

    On the other settings before that means your slogans won't go to a new line if the space is running out, it ignores the responsive mode.

    #sb-site is correct, you will need to adapt that to your needs.

    Yes I used the auto updater, ok I replaced the font folder and now icons are back.

    About

    white-space:nowrap;

    I did not realize it would negatively affect the responsive mode, probably

    white-space:normal;

    would be better but now I don't think I need that CSS Property anymore. Thank you for the tip!

    Before closing this ticket:

    I installed blog plugin and i get MySQL Error: "Duplicate column name 'showblog'

    and when I try to publish a new blog I get "MySQL Error: Table 'jcwebdev_isabelle.cms_blogcategories' doesn't exist"...I did verified the database Categories table and Blog category is there...
    Is my database corrupted?

    Thank you

    Jacques

    Try uninstall the blog and reinstall it fresh. You might get another error when uninstalling but after that it should work.

    OK I tried that and still getting "MySQL Error:  Duplicate column name 'showblog " on install.

    And when I try to publish a blog article: "MySQL Error:    Table 'jcwebdev_isabelle.cms_blog' doesn't exist"

    And if I try to edit a page: "MySQL Error:    Table 'jcwebdev_isabelle.cms_blogcategories' doesn't exist"

    There is a bug in the uninstall.php file for the Blog Plugin.

    Please download that CMS package again and replace following file:

    plugins/blog/uninstall.php

    Should it not work after installing/uninstalling and installing again we will need to empty some fields manually in the database. You can send me phpmyadmin and admin login details via following form and I will fix it for you: https://jakweb.ch/access-form

    OK done but same problem...by curiosoty I also installed many other plugins(ecommerce-register-growl etc.) and only FAQ is having same problem as BLOG. I replaced both plugin folder with latest,  but still the same.

    Might be useful info:

    On BLOG install: 'Duplicate column name 'blogid'

    Unsinstall blog: 'Table 'jcwebdev_isabelle.cms_blogcategories' doesn't exist'

    On FAQ install: 'Duplicate column name 'showfaq'

    Unsinstall: 'Unknown table 'jcwebdev_isabelle.cms_faq,jcwebdev_isabelle.cms_faqcategories,jcwebdev_isabelle.cms_faqcomments''
