Happy June and Happy New Cloud Chat 3. We finally finished the new release for Cloud Chat 3, Version 2.5 has a complete rebuild of everything.

The last update was back in October and you had to wait a long time for this release but it was worth it.

The change log is pretty long and it was a pure pleasure to work on the new release. We have also tested it for many days to make sure the new version is working great.

New Demo Site

With this release we have also updated the demo site so it fits into our corporate identity. Of course the demo itself is up to date and ready to rock. Eager to check out the new demo, go to Cloud Chat 3 - Main Site.

Zipp.Chat

Our main Cloud Chat 3 Site Zipp.Chat is already running on the new version and ready rock. With over 700 clients it was good test for the update wizard. ;)

Upgrade

We can't say it enough, but please have an up to date BACKUP before you start. Please also contact us before you upgrade by creating a support ticket with your account, you will receive a new license code for the administration panel.

Chat Server

This is a major update all files of the chat server has been changed, you will need to replace all files and folders. Manual update only!

1. Backup all Folders and Files
2. Backup the Database
3. Delete all folders and files from the live chat server except cache and files
4. Upload all folders and files from the upload/chat_server
5. Go to the update wizard: install/update.php
6. Run the update wizard
7. Delete the install directory
8. Login to your operator panel as a super operator
9. Enter the purchase code or license number (Order number or Envato Purchase code)
10. Go to the settings and re-enter all details, they need to be set again for the super operator
11. Done

Administration Panel

This is a major update all files of the administration panel and sign up page has been changed, you will need to replace all files and folders. Manual update only!

1. Backup all Folders and Files
2. Backup the Database
3. Upload all folders and files from the upload/admin_signup and overwrite the existing files
4. Go to the update wizard: install/update.php
5. Run the update wizard
6. Delete the install directory
7. Login to your administration panel
8. Enter the license code (Please contact us for your license code because you will receive a new one)
